BAND SCHOLARSHIPS There are four $500 Band Scholarships Available
Criteria and Procedures
The $500 scholarship will contribute to a promising student’s education whose intent is to continue their music interest participating in a college marching band program or music class. This is not a financial needs-based scholarship. Applications will be evaluated by a Colonial Forge Guidance Department selection team, independent of the Music Boosters. The Guidance Department will notify selected students and confirm their presence at the senior awards presentations.
1. Candidates must be a member of the Forge Sound and Guard Marching Band and/or Band Program, in good standing, for all years eligible at Colonial Forge High School. For example: From the start of their freshman year or the first year of a transfer student’s enrollment at Colonial Forge High School.
2. Candidates must be accepted and then enrolled as a full-time student at their college or university.
3.Please complete the application and email it to Mrs. Miranda Todd, Guidance Counselor, at [email protected] by COB,Friday, March 29th, 2024. Applications received after this date will not be considered for this scholarship.
Recipients will be announced at the senior awards presentations.
Recipients will contact the treasurer and provide proof of acceptance at a college or university, student ID number, and address for scholarship checks. Once the treasurer receives this information, they will disburse a check in the name of the college credited to the student's account for tuition, books, and/or lab fees. Scholarship funds not requested and disbursed by September 30th of the year that the student received the scholarship will become null and void. It is the recipient's responsibility to contact the treasurer to request funds. Please email: [email protected] to request funds and provide required information.
COLOR GUARD SCHOLARSHIP There is one $500 Color Guard Scholarship Available

This is not a financial needs-based scholarship. Applications will be evaluated by a selection team from the Guidance Department, independent of the Music Boosters. The Guidance Department will notify selected students and confirm their presence at the senior awards presentations.
